TuneUp for iTunes – Uninstall

Habe heute kurz mal TuneUp ausprobiert. Ich fand das Interface zu unübersichtlich und TuneUp machte mein Mac sehr langsam wenn es gerade „aktiv“ war. Außerdem kann man iTunes nicht mehr ohne TuneUp starten, was extrem nervt.
Nun, wollte ich das Programm deinstallieren: aber siehe da, geht nicht. Einfach „drag and drop“ in den Papierkorb kann man vergessen. Denn iTunes will das Programm beim Start finden. OK, Problem, wie deinstalliere ich etwas auf dem Mac?
Habe dem Support gemailt, hier die Antwort (hoffe es hilft euch):
if you have the current (public release) version of TuneUp, the
uninstaller is available at the following location:/Users/yourusername/Library/Logs/TuneUp Uninstaller.app
Even if you were a beta user, I’d highly recommend using the 1.0
uninstaller (the version released today). If the uninstaller doesn’t
remove all traces of TuneUp please feel free to reply to this message
and I’ll be happy to send you the beta uninstaller.
Ich hoffe nun das hilft. Wenn der uninstaller kommt, habe ich alles ausgewählt und uninstall gedrückt… wenn der nun was deinstalliert hat was der Mac benötigt, also dann habe ich ein Problem. Werde aber dann nochmals ein Update posten.

Hab auch alles ausgewählt und dann deinstalliert. Selbst der Uninstaller hat sich sehr Windows-like angefühlt (wollen Sie „xyz-eine-x-beliebige-datei-die-anhand-ihres-namens-nicht-als-tuneup-zugehörig-erkennbar-ist“ wirklich deinstallieren?). Werde TuneUp sicherlich NICHT weiterempfehlen…

Auch von meiner Seite vielen Dank für den Tipp!
War schon am verzweifen mit dieser blöden Fehlermeldung beim Start on iTunes. Habe auch beim Aufruf des Uninstallers alles ausgewählt und „weg“ gedrückt. Bis jetzt keine Probleme.
Na ja, TuneUp hat sich für mich auch erledigt.

Hallo, ich bin Raza Zaidi, der CTO von TuneUp. Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut. Es tut mir leid das ist so schwerig die TuneUp Uninstaller zu benutzen.
Die naechste version is mehr einfach und kommt es sehr bald (vielleicht Freitag).
Wann Sie hat “drag and drop” TuneUp in den Papierkorb, dann muss Sie auch „TuneUp Visualizer.bundle“ streichen. Sie kann es finden hier:
MacIntosh HD/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/

Raza,
I think it’s absolutely great that you search the internet for problems with your product AND reply. Your tool is really not bad although it has some glitches. If you would document the „auto load and unload“ switch in your help or at this to your preferences, this could really improve the willingness of users to try and buy your software as it leaves more choice to the end user.
I wanted to uninstall it (speed and reliaility) as it loaded automatically with itunes, which annoyed me. Now that I CAN CHOOSE if I want to use it or not, it can stay a bit longer
Keep improving, the idea is great.
